CHECK OUT THE PICS BELOW 8-6 Fishing has been great this past week with a bunch of 20# Kings being caught. The fish are coming deep with 75-100 down the trick early while 100-130 down working better later. If you are thinking about getting out we just had a cancellation for Sat Pm and Sun AM he 15th and 16th. These are prime time weekend days that should go quick. 7-17 Fishing slowed the last two days as we wait for the Kings to show in bigger numbers. Weather so far has been too inconsistent and cool to push the warmer water on the bank and condense the bait and fish. We have several days off now so I can get caught up on some things before he big rush. 7-10 Fishing has been consistently great with the best offshore fishing for Steelhead that we have seen in many years. Double digit catches have been the rule if you are willing to make the trek 12-15 miles out to find them. The recent north wind also pushed good numbers of Kings in the harbor as we had 26 hits in three hours yesterday morning. About half of these fish were small throw backs but we did manage 14 keepers with two 18 pounders and several over 10#. Looks like it's setting up to be a great year. 6-27 Fishing has continued to be very good the last few days although it looks like our calm seas are done for a couple of days. Steelhead were the rule yesterday with lots of fish coming between 8 and 15 miles out. Weather through Tues will dictate how the fishery will set up for the end of the week. 6-23 Fishing is still very good. I fished 4 times since the 16th and have had a worst day of 9 fish in those four trips. Kings are becoming a little more scarce on the shelf but we are taking several on the way out to deeper water where there are decent numbers of Steelhead and a few Lakers to be caught. Below is a pic of a nice 13# Laker I caught myself today. Probably not fishing until the weekend or Monday at the latest. 6-16 Fishing continues to be great for the early season. We have been out twice since Sat and managed 7 Steelies and 2 Kings each trip. With the calm seas Steelheading has been as good as any year in the past few and a large number of 4-5 pound fish signal a good hatch and bright future. Pic of Saturdays 3 boat catch
6-13 First charter of the year today was a resounding success with a beautiful flat big lake and decent fishing. There are a lot of small fish around but also some nice fish to be had. Today we managed 11 that we kept and another 5 we threw back. Among the keepers were some nice Kings over 10#. Steelhead are also being taken now a few miles out and the weather looks great for the next week so fishing should be fantastic for some time. 6-11 Have had a chance finally to fish the last couple of days and once last weekend. So far the fishing this summer has been fantastic with a bunch of younger fish the current targets. Fish are coming on a variety of Stinger and Stingray spoons from 20-80 down. Today we managed 12 landed for 18 hooked with fairly calm seas. Fishing should continue to be fantastic for quite some time. 5-21 Well the boat is finally going to hit the water next Wednesday and we will be off and running for the year. Fished with a buddy of mine last Monday and had a great time. The kings are definitely here and we managed 9 in about 3 hours for our first trip out. Hopefully we can keep these around for a while. Going to check out Saginaw Bay this weekend with the hope of a fresh Walleye dinner. 4-6 Boat prep continues with just a few more things to complete. Plan on dropping the boat around the first of May which is a little late but in plenty of time for the first charters so I am going to take the extra time to get a few more things done to improve the setup. Looking forward to getting on the big pond soon. 3-23 The shows have finally ended and the boat prep goes into high gear this week. Reports of Brown Trout in Manistee have me hoping for a weekend fishing trip if I get time. Killin' Time III safely docked

5-7 Work continues and the dock has been completed. The motors are in the boat and should have a trial run and tune in the yard by this weekend with a launch date early next week. Looks like we should have her in just in time for some spring King fishing.
